Good day to you! This is my first ever post to a blog, so I will start off with a quick bio about myself. I am a 20 year old student at Baruch enrolled in the 5 year MS program for Accounting/CPA track. I am in my third year at Baruch, and I am just starting to enjoy and find the classes useful, in terms of what may be applicable to my career and life in the future. One example is the Management class for which I am posting this blog. I am confident I will learn an abundance of tools necessary for management positions I will hold in the future.
Besides schoolwork, I work 3 part-time jobs, two of which I will promote right here:
If you need a DJ for any occasion CALL NOW
A Touch of Class DJ's at 718-966-0255
and check us out on the web at www.atouchofclassdj.com
Also, if you need anything related to sound or sound engineering such as:
-Dance mixes for recitals
-Enhancing distorted legal auio evidence
-Transfering vinyl or cassette to CD
-Recording a Demo for a fair price
Then I am the man- Stefan Barone 646-239-1825
Besides my work, I am also heavily interested in music. I am an artist/producer working with underground artists mostly in the Hip-Hop scene. However, I have worked with artists in all genres, and come up with solutions for unsigned artists to generate cash. I put together artist showcases and both small and large scale shows. I have interned in the A&R Department at Columbia Records and worked at various studios. I run a home-based studio operation that helps prepare artists for trying to appeal to major labels. I urge you to please check out my work and friend me if you are interested at

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to work with you in one of my fields of interest or occupation.

Hey Stefan!
I know exactly what you mean by your risk assessment approach on the matter of 'choosing what to do with your life' and I have to say that you are right on point. Maybe because of fear, uncertainty and the need for stability we all allow ourselves to be somewhat risk averse when choosing our future profession. And we let our passion for that 'other' thing, whatever that might be, music, art, sports, etc, be always our backfall. In someway, we know that we will always have that other something to do, even as a hobby, something to keep our mind off stressful events especially when our career goes wrong at some point in time. Maybe its a built in defense mechanism for many. Some are afraid to expose themselves professionally to what they love doing because they are afraid of failure and being left with nothing, after they risk their future on the grounds of passion and love for a specific subject. Some others just go for the ride and happily accept success and failure. I wish I was less of a risk averse person. I too am torn between doing what I love to do, and doing what I chose to do. Don't get the wrong impression, I dont mean that I dont like what I chose to do. I love math and I like business principles and ideas; it's just that I wouldnt describe myself passionate about those two subjects. I would rather devote more time to doing what makes me happy. But life has gives and takes. Somethings have to go and we are forced to adapt, move on, and/or change. Anyhow, again, you're right: when you love doing something, you will find the time to do it even if it means that you stay up all night. Sleep deprivation compared to happiness seems a minute defect which can be afforded. It's a small price to pay.
It was nice to talk to you! Im glad to meet someone who understands what I have felt and what I struggled with when making my choice to attend Baruch.
See you in class!
:)
Yeah folks, you read what the guy wrote, he is THE MAN! He is my neighbor in class because he sits next to me. May be I will hire this guy someday to produce music for me or have him join my marketing force. May be I will hire him to disk jock at my party or ask him to teach me a little DJaying.
Hey Stefan, I will see you in class. Take good notes and study hard, I might need your help.

Hey Stefan, it's good to know that you are a dj as well. Judging from the way you represent yourself and from your myspace page i can see that you are really a professional dj and also a producer. I'm happy for you that you made it in this aspect and i just hope that one day i'll make it big too. Unfortunately i am interested in a different kind of music and maybe that is why i find it a little hard to find gigs here in NYC. The US isn't that big on house music as opposed to hip hop, a style that is very popular particularly in NYC.
I wish you luck in the future with your career and keep up the good work.
Best,
Marius
Hi Stephan,
Wow!!! I am impressed!!!! You hold 3 p/t jobs and go to school, it's incredible. I think it's amasing that despite the fact that you're so busy with both work and school you manage to find the time for your greatest passion - music. I always say that we should never give up our passion for things we like to do. If we did that, we could loose our passion for life itself.....
Hey Stefan,
You are doing a great job as you are able to get the education and work to support it as well.
Your parents should be proud of you.
